Teenage actor auditions for Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. The Winter Park Playhouse, Central Florida's professional musical theatre, is seeking Non-Equity musical theatre performers ages 13-18 for its 2026 outreach show, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. All roles paid for rehearsals and performances. → Click here for the character breakdown with vocal ranges. This program performs at Title I elementary schools during the school day, expanding access to live theatre for students who might not otherwise experience it. Performances will take place during the school day on 4/27, 4/28, 4/29, 4/30, 5/1, 5/4, 5/8, 5/21, 5/26, & 5/27. Rehearsals will take place over six Saturday mornings: March 7 through April 25, 9am–12pm at Orlando Shakes (with March 14 and 21 off for Spring Break). In-person callbacks will take place on Saturday, February 7th from 9am–12pm. If invited to callbacks, you will be notified on Tuesday, January 27th. To be considered, actors must be available for callbacks, all rehearsals, and 8 of 10 performance dates. Video submissions will be accepted Monday, January 12 through end of day Monday, January 26.
