2023-2024 AUDITIONS

The Winter Park Playhouse, Central Florida's professional musical theatre, will hold auditions for its 2023-2024 Series of musicals and the 6th Annual Florida Festival of New Musicals from 12–9 pm on Tuesdays, February 7 and 14, 2023.

The Playhouse is seeking professional Equity (O.A.T. Category 4 Contract for Mainstage Musicals & Staged Reading Contract for the Festival) & Non-Equity musical theatre performers. Actors of all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to audition. Housing is not provided.

Audition requirements:

  • Prepare 16-32 bars of an up-tempo and a ballad (classic musical theatre pieces preferred) and a one-minute comic monologue.
  • Bring sheet music in your key - an accompanist will be provided. No tapes or CDs permitted.
  • Bring two non-returnable headshots and resumes.

For shows requiring dancing, combinations will be taught at the callbacks in March.

Spring 2023 OUTREACH AUDITION 

The Winter Park Playhouse is seeking non-Equity musical theatre performers age 13-17 for its 2023 community outreach show Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. Performances will be at the end of the 2023 spring semester during school hours. Specific dates TBD.

The Winter Park Playhouse is committed to the practice of inclusive casting and is seeking non-Equity musical theatre performers of all races, ethnicities and genders. All roles paid.

Video submissions will be accepted through January 31, 2023.

Audition requirements are as follows:

  • 16-32 bars of an up-tempo musical theatre or pop song
  • A one-minute comedic monologue
  • Digital heashot and resume

Videos must either be in MP4 format or accessible through a Dropbox, Google Drive, or YouTube link. If a password is required, please send that as well. If you have difficulty recording or submitting a video, please let us know.

The Winter Park Playhouse would not be the theatre it is today without the selfless dedication of the time and talents of its wonderful volunteers.

There are many volunteering opportunities available and we welcome new faces to be a part of our volunteer family.
