Each show is approximately 55 minutes in length and features a different professional singer.

"Why Do the Wrong People Travel?"

April 16 & 17, 2014 at 7:30 pm

Journey with Bert as he sings us through decades of musical theatre with his powerful tenor voice, all the while relating personal anecdotes of travel gone hysterically awry!

Bert Rodriguez, originally from Edmond, Oklahoma, now calls Orlando home. Bert has traveled extensively throughout North America as Ewart Dunlop with the First National Tour of the recent revival of Meredith Wilson's The Music Man. At The Music Theatre of Witchita, he performed alongside Broadway greats, Kelli O'Hara and Stephanie J. Block. His extraordinary voice is featured on the American cast recording of the popular musical HONK!. Bert regularly music directs for Norwegian Cruise Line and co-created the show That's Entertainment with Vegas hit choreographer Tiger Martina. Locally, Bert has portrayed both Crush and Marlin in Disney's Finding Nemo: The Musical, and is a popular performer at The Winter Park Playhouse. He was featured in the 2013 summer hit 8 Track: The Sounds of the 70's and most recently as Gabe in The Playhouse's sold out production of the Neil Sedaka musical, Breakin’ Up Is Hard To Do.

"Bert is an extremely versatile performer, an outstanding singer and we are lucky to have this caliber of talent at The Playhouse. This is a rare opportunity to see him in an intimate setting that will showcase his gorgeous voice and great personality."
 Roy Alan, Playhouse Artistic Director
