Another unique entertainment option at The Winter Park Playhouse is our Spotlight Cabaret Series in the beautiful lobby piano bar. Different professional singers are featured in this monthly series and the New York-style cabaret performances are approximately 55 minutes in length with no intermission. Tickets for this very popular offering are $20. Students must be 15 years of age or older to be admitted to our cabaret series.

Fall into the season with Mahalia Gronigan and her new solo cabaret Autumn Moondance in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series on October 12 and 13, 2022. Playhouse Music Director Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano.

Mahalia is a multi-talented performer that has graced The Winter Park Playhouse stage numerous times (Beehive, Respect: A Musical Journey of Women, and The Florida Festival of New Musicals). Autumn Moondance will showcase Ms. Gronigan's wide ranging vocal ability and style. She will mix hits old and new from a diverse collection of artists including Barbra Streisand, Nat King Cole, Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt, Eva Cassidy, Stephen Sondheim and more!

Mahalia has worked in professional theaters across the nation and has won various prestigious stage awards including Michigan's Oscar Wilde Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Violet in the musical Violet (The Dio) and for playing Nancy in Oliver! (Encore Musical Theatre Company). She was sponsored to compete at IMTA 2021 and subsequently was named Best Female Vocalist and was named one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's top 50 female singers in a televised musical competition that aired on BBC One.

General admission tickets for live cabarets are $20 plus a one drink minimum.

The live cabaret will take place in the theatre lobby bar area. General admission seating is first come first served. Seating is limited and performances sell out quickly, so advance reservations are strongly recommended.

Kevin Kelly, a proud Actors' Equity professional, is also known for his expertise on the cabaret stage. Kevin will delight audiences with a "greatest hits" mix of musical theatre selections and standards.

Confessions of a Crazed Crooner showcases Mr. Kelly's easy-going style and smooth delivery of traditional classics with just the right blend of story-telling, conversation and humor. Audiences will be treated to the best loved tunes of Bobby Darin, Ray Charles, Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin and of course Frank Sinatra, all delivered with the vocal elegance of a seasoned cabaret artist.
