Ned Wilkinson

Here Comes the Sun
Summer Fun Nostalgia from the 1970s & 80s

Live performances at the Playhouse: August 17 & 18, 2022

Virtual encore viewing: September 2-5, 2022

The Winter Park Playhouse multi-instrumentalist band member, Ned Wilkinson, gives audiences a rare treat with his new solo cabaret Here Comes The Sun in the theatre's Spotlight Cabaret Series on August 17 and 18, 2022.

Just off of a very successful Playhouse run of the country-western musical comedy Pump Boys and Dinettes, Ned will now grace the cabaret stage to share his many instrumental and performing talents as he creates some summer fun for audiences with his nod to the pop songs of yesteryear.

Join Ned as he takes a nostalgic trip back to the 1970s and 80s with feel-good hit radio songs like "Here Comes the Sun," "Walking On Sunshine," "Is She Really Going Out with Him?" and many more!

Ned Wilkinson is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and has mastered over 23 instruments over his career. Not only does Ned perform as a musician, actor and vocalist, he also is an arranger and composer of music and musicals. Three of his new musicals have been featured in The Winter Park Playhouse's Florida Festival of New Musicals and his latest work, Flaming Volcano Bed and Breakfast, was a patron favorite and a hit onstage in a full-length professional reading at The Playhouse in March.

"Having Ned as part of our Playhouse family is such a gift! He is an amazing talent and always puts on a wonderful show. Don't miss this great summer cabaret!" confirms Heather Alexander, Playhouse Executive Director.

General admision tickets for live cabarets are $20 plus a one drink minimum.

The cabaret will take place in the theatre on the mainstage. Assigned seating is limited and performances sell out quickly, so advance reservations are strongly recommended.
